Allura Partners Continues Success in Executive Searches for Barbeques Galore: CEO Appointment

Allura Partners was once again engaged by long-standing client, Quadrant Private Equity to conduct an executive search for the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for Barbeques Galore, Australia’s leading brand for barbeque and outdoor living products.

In 2019, Allura Partners successfully placed Angus McDonald as CEO of Barbeques Galore. Under his leadership, the business has undergone a significant transformation over the past five and a half years, culminating in recognition as the Australian Retail Association's 'Medium Retailer of the Year' for 2024.

James Curtis, Principal at Allura Partners, worked closely with Victor Ha and Harry Waller at Quadrant and the executive team at Barbeques Galore to carry out a comprehensive search.

The process led to the appointment of Alex Foster, an experienced senior leader with a career spanning 27-years in retail, including 20-years at Aldi. Alex brings deep expertise in retail operations, supply chain, product development, and sourcing, with senior roles in Australia, Germany, and Hong Kong.

Allura Partners extends its congratulations to Alex as he steps into his new role, leading Barbeques Galore through its next phase of growth.
